Personalized Video
Personalized video, where the shopper is the subject
Instead of filming one look on a model under one lighting setup, Gennoctua generates a version of that exact video starring each shopper — their face, their skin tone, their lighting — generated per person, at scale.

How it works
From install to live in about three days
- 1
Start from one hero brief
Bring your existing creative concept or product video brief — no new physical shoot required for every SKU or segment.
- 2
Shopper opts in, image captured in the plugin
Consent and capture happen directly at the point of use, the same architecture as every other Gennoctua use case.
- 3
Video is generated per person
Generation is cloud-assisted; each shopper's version is rendered from the same creative concept.
- 4
Delivered to owned surfaces
Website, app, email/SMS, and in-store — your own properties, not a platform you're renting reach from.
Why now
Video is already outperforming static product photos
The video commerce shift is already underway — see the market research below. Gennoctua is built for exactly that shift, at the individual level rather than the segment level.
Video commerce market growth, 2025–2034 — from roughly $917.4B (2024) to a projected $14,401.8B (2034)
Shoppers are more likely to buy when they see a product in motion vs. a static photo
Say video convinced them to buy / higher engagement on product pages with video

How Gennoctua actually handles a shopper's image
Consent and image capture happen directly inside the plugin, at the point of use. Generation is cloud-assisted today — on-device generation isn't yet mature enough to run at production quality, so we're honest about that rather than claim otherwise. The result is cached on the shopper's own device, not retained on Gennoctua's or the retailer's servers, and each install captures fresh rather than sharing an identity across apps.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is personalized video in ecommerce?
Personalized video generates a version of a product or ad video where the actual shopper — not a model or persona — is the subject, generated per person rather than shot once and shown to everyone.
Do you need a new video shoot for every audience segment?
No — the core pitch is the opposite: one hero creative brief, generated per person, without a new physical shoot for every SKU or segment.
Is every video generated fresh for every single ad impression?
No. The most defensible way to describe the architecture is a hybrid: the expensive per-person generative step happens once (for example, at consent/onboarding), the result is cached client-side, and a lighter compositing pass runs per campaign or SKU at serve time reusing that cached asset.
Where does personalized video show up?
On owned surfaces — your website, app, email/SMS, and in-store — rather than being dependent on a single third-party platform.
The other three use cases
Gennoctua also shows up as
Catalog-Wide Visual Try-On
Frictionless, secure "see yourself in it" across apparel & footwear, eyewear, jewelry & bags, and furniture & décor — confirmed by Style, Fit & Match signals before checkout.
Touchless In-Store Try-On
The same experience extends onto the retail floor — easing fitting-room congestion and letting associates support more shoppers at once, without adding headcount.
Agentic Commerce Visual Signal
As AI shopping agents evaluate or buy on a shopper's behalf, structured product data alone can't say whether something suits a specific person. Gennoctua supplies that missing visual signal.
